PersephoneDorothy Hood...
Dorothy Hood's "Persephone" explores the dimensions of space with her flow of shapes within illusionistic washes. Through varying shades of greys and blues, protruding white edges and swatches of color, her cosmic forms constantly play upon our sense of perception.

Born in Bryan, Texas. Educated at the Rhode Island School of Design and at the Art Students League in New York. Received the Childe Hassam Award in 1973 at the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Her art has been exhibited nationally and internationally.
