Vine HabitatClyde Connell...
Clyde Connell transposes materials from her native Louisiana swamplands into this sculpture, Vine Habitat, a mystic shelter for spirits, guarding and protecting the sacred sanctuary within.

Born on a plantation near Shreveport, Louisiana. Largely self-taught, she draws on the swamp for materials and inspiration to produce her "ancient" artifacts. Although a life-long artist, only since 1978 has she exhibited her work outside Louisiana and become nationally recognized.
